Matt - Owner & Head of Client Experience
Matt is an experienced Personal Trainer with over 12 years in the fitness industry and is both an Owner and leads Client Experience at Highland Fitness & Wellness. He is known for his thoughtful, detail-oriented approach—designing training programs that integrate strength, stability, mobility, and balance into a cohesive, results-driven experience. Grounded in evidence-based practice, Matt ensures every aspect of his coaching is purposeful, effective, and built for long-term success. While his approach is structured, Matt brings an energetic and playful presence to the gym—often filling the space with laughter and the occasional dose of well-timed silliness. This balance of professionalism and personality creates an environment where clients feel both supported and genuinely enjoy the process. Driven by a passion for continuous growth, he holds an Honours B.A., an M.A., and is currently a Doctoral Candidate at York University. Outside the gym, his background in submission grappling and ongoing pursuit of golf reflect his dedication to both discipline and refinement.

Rob - Personal Trainer & Head of Trainer Development
Rob is an experienced Personal Trainer with over a decade in the fitness industry and serves as Head of Trainer Development. He takes a personalized approach to training, designing programs tailored to each individual—whether they are new to the gym or more experienced. Rob’s focus is on delivering effective, structured workouts that support progress while building confidence and consistency. In his role developing the coaching team, Rob is committed to maintaining a high standard of training across the gym, ensuring every client receives thoughtful, results-driven guidance. He brings a strong working knowledge of exercise physiology and nutrition coaching, allowing him to support clients with a well-rounded, informed approach. Outside the gym, Rob is a dedicated father to his young son—bringing the same level of care, patience, and commitment into both his coaching and personal life.

Jake - Personal Trainer & Group Fitness Instructor
Jake is a dedicated Personal Trainer with a strong passion for fitness and resistance training. His approach is grounded in the belief that meaningful results come from both education and consistency. Jake works closely with clients to not only improve physical performance, but to create lasting changes in their overall health and lifestyle. Known for his positive and encouraging energy, Jake helps clients stay motivated, accountable, and confident as they work toward their strength, mobility, and fitness goals. Outside the gym, Jake is an avid golfer, bringing the same focus and discipline to his time on the course.

Dylan - Personal Trainer & Group Fitness Instructor
Dylan is a Personal Trainer with a strong foundation in coaching clients of all ages and backgrounds toward their fitness and wellness goals. A graduate of the Fitness and Health Promotion program at Centennial College, Dylan brings a thoughtful and supportive approach to both one-on-one and small group training. His coaching focuses on building confidence, consistency, and long-term progress in a way that is approachable and effective. In addition to his work in the gym, Dylan is an active semi-professional soccer player in Ontario. His athletic background, combined with experience in coaching and community involvement, informs a well-rounded and disciplined approach to training. Dylan is certified in Standard First Aid CPR/AED Level C and holds a Soccer for Life coaching certification through Ontario Soccer, along with intermediate French proficiency (DELF B1).

Jaime - Personal Trainer & Group Fitness Instructor
With over 11 years of experience, Jaime is a Personal Trainer and Holistic Health Coach dedicated to helping clients create lasting, meaningful change. Her approach is rooted in meeting each individual where they are—guiding them to build strength, improve mobility, and develop the mindset needed to sustain long-term results. Drawing from the latest advancements in exercise science, her training focuses on developing both physical capability and internal resilience. As a mother of four and grandmother of two, she brings a deeply grounded and relatable perspective to her coaching—supporting clients with empathy, understanding, and real-world insight. She holds certifications including FRCms, CanFitPro, Holistic Health Coaching, CPR/AED, TRX, and MobilityWOD.

Stephanie - Personal Trainer & Group Fitness Instructor
Stephanie is a Personal Trainer with a focus on corrective exercise and body recomposition, dedicated to helping clients create meaningful and lasting change. With a background in child and youth work, she brings a strong understanding of personal growth and resilience into her coaching—supporting clients both physically and mentally throughout their journey. Stephanie emphasizes the mind-to-muscle connection in every session, combining holistic principles with evidence-based strategies. Her approach helps clients build strength, improve posture, and achieve sustainable, full-body transformation. Outside the gym, she takes her own training seriously and actively competes in physique competitions—bringing firsthand experience, discipline, and insight into the process of body transformation.

Michael - Personal Trainer & Group Fitness Instructor
Michael is an Olympic Weightlifting and Strength & Conditioning Coach dedicated to helping clients and student-athletes reach their full potential through thoughtful, educated training. His coaching philosophy is grounded in the principle of primum non nocere—“do no harm”—ensuring that safety and proper progression are always the foundation of his work. From there, he focuses on building confidence, skill, and long-term capability through structured and purposeful training. With experience working with both general population clients and athletes, he brings a versatile and adaptable approach to coaching. Whether guiding someone from a desk job or developing performance on the field, he emphasizes proper technique, progressive loading, and a clear understanding of the “why” behind each movement. Combining the technical precision of Olympic Weightlifting with practical strength and conditioning principles, his goal is to help clients build functional strength, improve performance, and develop a sustainable, confident approach to training.

Christian - Personal Trainer & Boxing Coach
Christian is a highly experienced coach with over 18 years in Boxing and Muay Thai, and a growing focus in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. He has worked with a wide range of clients—from those training recreationally to amateur competitors—and has contributed to the development of athletes who have gone on to become world champions in their respective disciplines. Christian combines technical expertise with an engaging, high-energy coaching style. His sessions are tailored to each individual, balancing challenge and progression while ensuring training remains dynamic, motivating, and genuinely fun. Driven by the same enthusiasm that first drew him to the sport, Christian is committed to helping clients build skill, confidence, and lasting results through purposeful and enjoyable training.

Corrie - Personal Trainer & Group Fitness Instructor
Corrie is a Personal Trainer known for her supportive, high-energy approach and ability to bring out the best in her clients. Her own fitness journey began just a few years ago, but it has been truly transformative—shaping both her lifestyle and her passion for helping others do the same. Having experienced that change firsthand, Corrie understands what it takes to build confidence, consistency, and lasting results. She is often described as a natural cheerleader, creating an encouraging and motivating environment—while still holding clients accountable to proper form, progression, and pushing just a little further when it counts. Outside the gym, Corrie enjoys staying active with her own strength training, unwinding with reality TV, and spending time baking with her son.

Tracey - Personal Trainer & Pilates Instructor
Tracey is a Personal Trainer and Pilates Instructor with a focus on mindful movement and building a strong, supportive community. Her background in Highland dance and public health shaped a thoughtful, education-driven approach to coaching. Through her own experience with injury and recovery—including SI joint instability and an Achilles rupture—Tracey developed a deep appreciation for intentional, sustainable movement. She completed her mat and reformer training through Pilates Process in Toronto and is continuing her certification. Her sessions are supportive, adaptable, and designed to help clients move with greater awareness, confidence, and ease. Tracey offers both group classes and individualized training, integrating Pilates and strength-based work into a well-rounded approach.

Jeremie - Personal Trainer
Jeremie is a Personal Trainer with a background in exercise science and a strong interest in holistic health. His approach focuses on helping clients feel better through movement—building sustainable habits and making physical activity an enjoyable, long-term part of their lifestyle. Jeremie believes that strength training should be both effective and engaging, creating sessions that are varied, purposeful, and fun. He holds a degree in exercise science and certifications in holistic lifestyle coaching, and is currently a candidate in Muscle Activation Techniques (MAT). His training is supported by a thoughtful, well-rounded approach to improving movement quality and overall function. Outside the gym, Jeremie has a long-standing passion for volleyball. He has played since the age of 12 and has competed at a high level, including experience with a national beach volleyball team and a professional club in Portugal. He is fluent in both French and English, allowing him to support a diverse range of clients.

Kristi - Personal Trainer
Kristi is a Personal Trainer with a background in education, bringing a thoughtful and structured approach to coaching. She holds a doctoral degree in education and spent many years in the Ontario postsecondary system, where she progressed from Business Professor to an executive role in Academic Services. Her transition into fitness reflects a deep interest in movement, learning, and helping others grow. Kristi’s training style is rooted in education and intention—guiding clients through strength training, core activation, and movement-based practices such as Animal Flow. She focuses on helping clients understand the “why” behind their training, creating a more informed and sustainable approach to fitness. Known for her personalized coaching style, Kristi provides tailored programs, ongoing support, and a strong sense of accountability to help clients achieve their goals with confidence.

Eric - Personal Trainer
Eric is a highly experienced and accredited Personal Trainer with over a decade in the industry. Known for his thoughtful, individualized approach, Eric meets each client where they are—delivering expert guidance with a calm, supportive presence. His kind nature, paired with a great sense of humour, creates an environment that is both professional and genuinely enjoyable. He believes that lasting health is built through strength, consistency, and confidence—and works closely with clients to develop all three.
